Biography:
Glyn Kerslake was born on January 23, 1967, in
Devon. With two older brothers, he is the youngest son of the family. He was introduced to
the theatre very early with his parents being in a local amateur dramatic society.
He trained at the Arts Educational School. His credits include so far:
Musical Theatre: The Metropolitan Mikado (Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Hall), Evita
(Manchester Opera House and First National Tour), Les Misérables (Palace Theatre, 1988),
Miss Saigon, original cast (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and in 1993 alternate Chris), Wolf
and Cinderella's Prince in Into The Woods (Manchester), Side By Side By Sondheim (Dublin),
alternate Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard (London) and The World Goes 'Round (West
Yorkshire Playhouse).
Concerts: Follies (Brighton), Merrily We Roll Along (Shaftesbury Theatre), A Cavalcade of
Coward (Piccadilly Theatre), Company (Victoria Palace), Celebrating Sondheim and We Like
It (Royal Festival Hall), Royal Gala (Barbican Concert Hall for Mike Batt) and Les
Misérables - 10th Anniversary Concert (Royal Albert Hall). He has also appeared at Pizza
on the Park, London.
Radio: Friday Night is Music Night, Songs from the Shows, Steve Race Show, David Jacobs
and An Evening with Alan J. Lerner (all BBC Radio 2) and A Celebration of Cole Porter (RTE
Radio, Dublin).
Recordings: The symphonic version of Les Misérables, original cast album of Miss Saigon,
Magic (together with Claire Moore; unfortunately only a single version of this is still
available at Sound of Music), A Night at the Musical (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra),
Godspell as Judas/John the Baptist, My Fair Lady as Freddy, The Boy Friend as Tony, Chess
as the Russian, Oscar, Show Boat and Les Misérables - 10th Anniversary Concert.

- 10th Anniversary Concert (playing one of the Constables who arrest Jean Valjean and is
quite visible during "Master of the House"). Glyn's hobbies are playing
the piano and the guitar, writing songs, doing arrangements and Sondheim. His own
compositions can be heard on Linzi Hateley's solo album "Sooner or Later" or on
his own debut CD "Don't Judge An Album By It's Cover".
